How do you rate the importance of the 'Big 4' PPV's?

1. WrestleMania: Goes without saying

2. Survivor Series: This was a toss up between the Series and the Rumble. But frankly the Survivor Series has a richer history. It's been around longer. There have been 9 world title changes at the Series, only 5 for the Rumble. The Rock, Kurt Angle and Undertaker all debuted at the Series, and of course, Montreal

3. Royal Rumble: This starts the road to Mania and is MY personal favorite event of the year, especially if you have no idea whos gonna win (which appears to be the case this year)

4. SummerSlam: I know this has been called the 2nd most important PPV behind Mania, but to be honest, it's never done much for me, especially in the last few years. Outside of Orton winning his first title and HBK-Hogan, I don't recall anything spectacular happening at SummerSlam lately

1. Wrestlemania - Obvious
2. Summerslam - It's the Wrestlemania of the Summer
3. Royal Rumble - Usually goes a long way in helping set things up for Wrestlemania
4. Survivor Series - Not nearly as big of a PPV as it used to be.

Re: How do you rate the importance of the 'Big 4' PPV's?

HBK and Hogans match at summerslam wasn't spectacular. It was funny to watch Shawn make Hulk look like a idiot by overselling everything, and making it look cool while doing it.
A good summerslam was 97 when shawn screwed taker and planted the seeds for their fued. Also the first summerslam was good, megapowers were something to behold, also with andre and the brain 4big stars. 91 with the match made in heaven. Then 92 with bret vs davey.Since you said lately I guess this little post is kinda meaningless.

Wrestlemania
SummerSlam
Rumble/Survivior Tie for me.

For me:-

1) Wrestlemania - Obviously
2) Summerslam - Always produces good matches and great fueds.
3) Royal Rumble - Other matches can be poor, but the main draw is obv. the main event.
4) Survivor Series - Has had ups and downs, can be good, can be just another PPV.
