Big Update On Edge's Return, Carlito, More News

-- Edge recently spoke on the WHBO radio station in Tampa, Florida. He said that his surgery and recovery from the pec tear was a piece of cake compared to the year he was out with a broken neck. The former WWE Heavyweight Champion said that he has been cleared to return "slowly but surely." He went on to say that he feels that even one weekend off a month would make a big difference in helping guys recharge their batteries from taking bumps and the travel.

-- Aaron Aguilera (who played Carlito's body guard "Jesus" a few years ago) wrestled a Heat match on November 5th in Los Angeles. Aguilera wrestled under his real name and lost to Simmons.

-- Recently released WWE superstar Chris Masters will be on World Talk Live this Friday, November 16th at 4 PM Eastern. The show is streamed live online at BlogTalkRadio.com/worldtalklive.

-- No Carlito on RAW last night and he did not work any dark matches prior to the show. Enough said.

-- D-Lo Brown was backstage at Genesis and the iMPACT! tapings last night working as an agent. This is a tryout. He's backstage at today's iMPACT! tapings as well.

-- I'm told that last nights iMPACT! tapings (set to air this Thursday night) was an awesome show. Scott Hall appears as does Booker T

Carlito Update; His Options If He Were To Leave WWE

-There has been numerous reports that Carlito is on his way out of World Wrestling Entertainment. At this time no one really knows the future of Carlito with the company. As we have been reporting, Carlito has been unhappy with the company. Apparently he was frustrated with the company since movie to Monday night Raw in 2005. If he was to be released by the company and go to TNA, he could easily obtain a much easier traveling schedule, flying between Puerto Rico and Orlando for iMPACT! tapings and pay per views.

On a side note his father owns WWC(World Wrestling Council), one of two main professional wrestling promotions in Puerto Rico. If he does leave WWE but does not sign with TNA he could easily have WWC to fall back on.

Future Of Extreme Expose Uncertain, Layla Leaving?


What with the departure of Brooke Adams, the Extreme Expose act appears to be through. Unless of course Adams is replaced by 2007 Diva Search winner Eve Torres, who has a dance background similar to Layla because she was a member of the Los Angeles Clippers dance team. If the group doesn't stay active, the belief is that Layla will likely be put on the chopping block. Layla & Kelly accompanied The Miz to matches at house shows last weekend, but on Tuesday's ECW show, it appeared they were broken up because they wrestled each other.

Although, the company word on Layla right now is that if Extreme Expose is broken up, Layla will be repackaged and given a new role in the company. But the problem is that many talents who are put on the repackaging list are usually never heard from again as they get released soon after. Vito's a good example of that. It's doubtful that repackaging Layla will be that big of a priority for the company.

Furthermore, Layla doesn't have a wrestling spot to fall back on in case the dance team got dropped because she was never given time on the road to practice her in-ring skills at house shows.

Backstage News On Booker T & Sharmel In TNA

Booker T and his wife Sharmel made their TNA debuts Sunday night at the Genesis Pay-Per-View. Both have signed TNA contracts and will be appearing on iMPACT! this Thursday night.

Booker is said to be nothing but a pleasure behind the scenes thus far. He was completely fed up with the WWE lifestyle and is embracing his new role in TNA with excitement. He has told many within TNA that he's very appreciative for this opportunity and wants to do anything he can to contribute to the TNA product.

Sharmel is also fitting in very well backstage with the other TNA Knockouts. The women's lockerroom in WWE is said to be very "territorial", with the newer divas not being accepted at first by the more established women stars. In TNA, the top women (Karen Angle, Gail Kim, Miss Brooks) have embraced Awesome Kong, ODB, Angel Williams and now Sharmel.
