In this tutorial, I will guide you how to make the marble effect by using Photoshop. This technique is not difficult to do as many people think.
Step 1: Create a new file, 400×400 pixels, use the color picker to choose any color that you like. This will become the color of your marble.
Step 2: Create a new layer, select the color that you pick as foreground color, than use Filter/Render/Clouds , you’ll have something like this:
Step 3: Select Filter/Render/ Lens Flare , and enter the following amount.
+100% brightness
+50-300 mm
You end up with something like this:
Step 4: Select Filter/ Distort/ Polar Coordinates. Then choose “Polar to Rectangular”
Step 5: Choose Edit/Transform/Flip Vertical - then select
Filter > Distort > Polar Condinates , Choose Rectangular to Polar. You’ll now have the shape of the marble. But it is on the background with the same color so it is quite difficult for you to see.
Step 6: The thing here is to cut the marble out of the background. If you pay a little attention, you’ll easily figure out the centre of the marble. Now choose Elliptical Marquee Tool, hold shift + alt then click and drag from the centre of the marble to where you feel that it’s right. See the below image for reference.

Now hit Shift+Crtl+I to reverse selection, then hit delete. You’ll have the marble on white background.
Step 7: Now that you have the marble, choose Image/Adjustment/Hue-Saturation, change the Hue amount to get the color you want, finally you’ll have this marble.
