How to add Watermarks to Your Video!

This guide will help you to place a watermark or TEXT on a video (AVI, MPEG, etc...) If you want to add a watermark, you must re-encode your video.

Tools Required:

1. VirtualDubMod

2. Image creation software (Windows Paint will do the job)

STEPS

1. PREPARE YOUR WATERMARK IMAGE

If your are creating a text watermark:

Open your image making software and make the background BLACK (you have to make it black to make it look translucent in ur movie) and create the text you wish to appear in the watermark, and place it on the black background. Save your image as. BMP or a .TGA file. Try to make it 200 (width) x 20 (height).

If u are putting an existing Image:

Simply open the image in Windows Paint and save it as a BMP or TGA file.

I'm using this image as an example...

Click the image to open in full size.

If u are doing text...try to make a Text image precise and about the following size:

Click the image to open in full size.

1. Setting up virtualdubmod.

Click the image to open in full size.

Open Virtualdubmod, go to File > open video file:

Click the image to open in full size.

Select your source video and hit the Open button.

You should now have something like this:

Click the image to open in full size.

Now go to Video > Filters:

Click the image to open in full size.

Click Add

Click the image to open in full size.

Select Logo and click Ok.

Click the image to open in full size.

Now, make sure that the screen that comes up looks exactly like this and add your logo by clicking the ... box.

Click the image to open in full size.

Please follow these instructions below and choose what you like :

Click the image to open in full size.

Click the image to open in full size.

After you are satisfied with ur positioning and opacity...lets look at a preview..Click on Show Preview

Click the image to open in full size.

And herez our preview!!

Click the image to open in full size.

Once you are happy with your settings, click OK, and then OK again.

Then click File> Save As and name your filename and your output location. And it should start encoding.....

Click the image to open in full size.

Just wait until its done encoding and you will have yourself a video with ur own watermark. Hurray!
