Thanks for that, yeah that works fine but id rather have the option of mms links and the embedded sopcast links.
Was thinking of installing windows xp in dual boot(prefer xp anyway) so maybe that will solve the problem.

All the same, very strange how yours works & mine doesn't but oh well

I think its probably down to the quality of the links, how far they have to travel to you and how many people are viewing it on the way. Vlc is able to show the stream slightly quicker than sopcast can, so if the vlc work around does work for you then that is probably the problem. It shouldn't be like that for all streams, its just the luck of the draw, I have had to use this method myself in the past both on Vista and XP, it is a bit of a pain but its better than nothing.

got it working!!
just turned the internet security down from medium-high to medium and it seems to be working (so far). Thanks guys for ur help

hey brother thanks for u r help. u have solved my problem. i have been facing this problem for last 2 months can i use the same to stream tvu player
