Fakir passed away this year, another star of urdu poetry gone. Never got his dues from urdu lovers. most loved jagjit and chitra but forget the poet Fakir who penned many of the ghazals sang by them. RIP Fakir.
Koi dost hai na raqeeb hai
tera shehar kitna ajeeb hai
voh jo ishq tha voh junoon tha
yeh jo hijar hai yeh naseeb hai
maiN kisey kahooN mere saath chal
yahan sab ke sir pay saleeb hai
yahan kiska chehra pard.ha karoon
yahan kon itna qareeb hai
tujhey dekh kar main hooN soochta
tu habib hai ya raqeeb hai
