Points to ponder
1 - Hadrath Abu Bakar when he was appointed caliph started his day as usual by going to market to sell his wares. Upon seeing him entering the market, sahaba asked him what he was doing, he stated that he was continuing to do his buissness. Hadrath Umar then said it is not right for the ameer of muslims to be engaged in bussiness as it will effect his work as ameer and may cause undue influence. When Abu Bakar asked how he then to provide for his family, sahaba agreed to pay him from the bait-ul-maal (treasurey), the amount equal to the waqes of an ordinary worker (i.e minimum wage). Abu Bakar happily agreed.
The wisdom: If the president or PM is looking after his bussiness he will then be tempted to get greedy. When he is not getting paid exuberent sum he will realize how ordinary people lives and will work for thier benefit so that they can love comfortably.
2 - Hadrath Abu Bakar while caliph asked his wife one day for some dessert. His wife informed him that the ration they get from govt doesn't provide for dessert. Some months later Abu Bakar sat down to eat and his wife presented him with the desert. He asked how were u able to get dessert, his wife replied that every day she would save a fistful of flour so in few months she had enuff to sell and buy some sugar and stuff to make a dessert and this is how she was able to get him dessert. Next day at the office ABu Bakar called in the treasurey and informed them that from this day on he will ration be cut a fist full a day, as he has just learned that he can still manage without it.
Now think about leaders of Pakistan and most of the muslim world.
