The Miracle
The sun was not shining on that morning in June
The rain was falling; it was time to go soon
Mandy got in her car and headed for home
But what would happen she did not know
From the highway onto a back road
And in just an instant her travels were slowed
See Mandy had fallen fast asleep
The truck never saw her coming she was in too deep
When she opened her eyes she screamed in pain
For the hospital bed is where she laid
The doctor said she wouldn't walk again
But she never thought twice about those words he said
Doctors told her that the life that was growing inside
Was almost certainly going to die
Now she only shed but a tear
For Mandy knew there was nothing to fear
Was it a miracle no one knows
How two lives survived unbeatable foes
Now she is walking better than before
And the baby is growing more and more
It has been not yet a year from that dreadful day
When Mandy's plans went another way
Now she stands here bold and brave
Her and her daughter live to see another day
