Dell to offer Ubuntu OS on some models

Dell announced that it is going to offer Ubuntu (linux based operating system) on some of its models. Some months back Dell had conducted a survey in which one question was which OS do people want Dell to offer on their computers and the majority of people voted for Linux over Windows. At that time Dell didn't commit to providing computers with pre-installed linux based OS but now it has come up with this proposition. This is going to be a major step in moving to the world outside of windows.

Re: Dell to offer Ubuntu OS on some models

i had once installed red hat linux and windows xp on my pc, but it was a pain to install all the different plugins for linux. It will be good now that Dell will be providing with all the necessary plugins.
