Post What firewall is better to install?

My firewall that comes with my windows xp slows down my computer. What will be a better one firewall I can download and use for free?

:S.. if the firewall windows comes with is slowing down your computer.. i doubt another firewall will be any better.

If anything the windows firewall should cause the least pull on your system resources.

If your on a router you don't need a firewall.. if your direct on a modem you still probably don't need one..

Avast is a free antivirus which comes with some inbuilt firewalling.. should be all you need

i have a router but i think it is much safer to have a firewall as well because the router only detects bad packets associated with the address that you are using or something like that correct me if im wrong...

anyway the best free firewall is comodo personal firewall its rated best from five free firewalls

i also have zone labs firewall installed on my laptop, it works good for me and my laptop works efficiently as well, havn't seen any problems as such becoz of the firewall.
