Although we all knew Brian Lara would give up the captaincy of the One-Day team to focus playing on Test Cricket more, it has been announced that Lara will also retire from the Test Arena as well with immediate effect, meaning he won't go on the tour to England starting in May.

What a shame, I was looking forward to him coming to the UK for one final, what better way than to retire on the hollowed turf of Lord's.

Saturday in the ODI against England will be Lara's last ever appearance for the West Indies.
