India Vs Australia - 4 Test Series - Official Discussion Thread
I think India will smack Australia in this series. Could be a whitewash. Here are my reasons
1 - Homeground advantage
2 - Ind has kumble and bhajji which will be perfect spinners on the home ground. Aus have untested spinners and Indian batting line up like all subcontinent teams are better at playing spin compare to western countries.
3 - Batting line up: I know I know India's middle order has been struggling but with home ground advantage and explosive openeres Ind has an advantage. Aus gonna miss symonds, couple that with Hayden still not 100% and Ricky ponting form continues to be bad that leave only hussey and clark in contention. On paper they might be good but in reality Aus batting line up is weak and early wkts will put pressure on the inexpierence batsmem.
4 - Seamers: Lee and clarke with jhonson vs Zaheer, Ishant, Pathan, parveen, RP singh and sreesanth to name few, here also India has advantage.
These are my 2 cents what u guys think?

Lol, kind of right, ut when everyone thinks ind will win easily they always lose. or tie
but tottaly agree with u on the points part i would say one advantage for aussies is watson. even though u can say watso nand pathan are like both equall allroudners, oin the batting department watso nis too good. so thts it
but dont count on ind. jus say a good series, but i still say whitewash  |

i agree with all points except for number 4....lee and johnson are gonna be deadly with their pace..against the seniors....other then ishant the rest of the indian bowlers really on swing...and u dont really expect too much swing on indian pitches...overall i would say pace attack is equal..but yea..india should win this series..and i think we will!..atleast 3-1...indians always have habit of losing 1 test match..

After watching most of Ipl live, i am tired of cricket for now.
I will be waiting for the world cup 2011. Till then i have said SSA to cricket.
Actually Olympics was a big setback for me. I think India deserves to perform A LOTTTT better but its all coz of Cricket that India is not able to produce any other sports talent.
I know India broke its own record and brought 3 medals home for the first time, but still, Enough of Cricket and more of everything else, EVERYTHING.
Cricket is on my least priority list now.
If Canada, US, and every well developed country can produce athletes, SO CAN INDIA, stupid criket drains everything in this Cricket die hard country.
I still love India.

He is got a point, even though i LOVE cricket, but its loved way too much, for some peopel its their lives.
Due to so much love for cricket india and pakistan dont conentrate on other sports. Cmon ppl might say 3 medals is good for india.
They should be 2nd behind china and that'll be onyl good.

i think there is an even chance that australia might win this sereis cause like india underestimated srilanka in the asia cup final and ajanta mendis stripped the india order that might happen again cause if bryce maggain and kezja would strike india might struggle

I dont understand why some of you guys are taking Aussies too easily. Remember, they are still the world champs and they can do anything. I understand that India is playing their veteran players to affect this series but honestly, I only expect 1 or 2 of them to do good.
India havent experienced havent experienced any of Aussies spinners which could play a pivotal role in this series.
Thats my two cents.
