Should Pak Voluntary withdraw themselves from hosting Champions Trophy?
Though Pak has managed to keep Champions Trophy for now, It is evident that NZ, Aus and Eng not coming or sending B teams, which really destroys champions trophy. The simple fact is no matter wat Pak do these guys won't come. Should Pak to save champions trophy should then voluntary withdraw itself from hosting, this will ensure that the tournament go ahead and there is no rupture of ICC.
This will save the fracture of cricket and will allow for Champions trophy to go ahead. Pak can earn good will (seriously doubt it) and make arrangements with ICC and opposing boards to be compensated for loss of revenue. Pak can then go ahead and demand that baring a serious unforseen security problems, ICC and cricket boards should give firm commitment to WC 2011 particpation and any players pressure will be dealt harshly.
Negatives of this approach sets a bad precdent any nation can now refuse to play on watever reason. Players dictate the game instead of boards which is a very very dangerous precedent to set. FTP (Future tour program) which is already in shambles will be meaningless. FTP atleast provide some balance eg. making BD play Aus which will not happen if Boards are to decide whom they wana play, Aus and Ind will paly each othere and ashes rest will have to wait like old days to think should we go and tour?
Wat u all think, share ur thoughts and vote.

Pask should withdrawl, cuz if teams do send their B teams the n thsi wil lbe boring and even if then pak wins it wont be a great chmapionship, cuz no team will care if pak won against their B Teams.

Re: Should Pak Voluntary withdraw themselves from hosting Champions Trophy?
that cant be the reason, Indi SL BD and pak will have A teams so will zimb so if NZ SA Aus and Eng dun send too bad its the team u beat not who is in team, Pak didnt sent its A team for Ind tour does it mean Ind didn't beat the best Pak team?

agree with you maxx plus last time in asia cup... there were hardly any spectators.... there is no fun if there are no spectators and with Few superstars in a team it would make it worst so its better to withdraw and maybe next time when time is right pak can go for it...This people i am sure are not going to come...

Re: Should Pak Voluntary withdraw themselves from hosting Champions Trophy?
I still dun understand the objection, i gave my reasons why pak should withdraw, spectators wil be there if u put a good match when India pak palyed ppl were there, but when HK and BD and UAE playing against big teams who will come? May be indians buit no one is that crazy anywhere in da world to pay exoberent fees to watch one sided matches. another problem flat pitches after a while even sixes becomes boring, so spectators cant be the reason.
If ur reason is time is right then this tournament cant happen in asia, SL has civil war, BD has emergency, Pak bombs, and India lemme see Kashmir, nagland, tamil problem, bombs in banglores etc etc, So tournaments rae to be held in Carriben for concerns, this way np for neone.
Since you guys too young to remember may I remind u all that IRA was continuoulsy blowing bombs in london and there was bomb scrae in eng v WI match, yet all teams visited england. So if thats the case then I cant agree with swithcing.
Wats you gonna say next they refus eto come for WC then?

Re: Should Pak Voluntary withdraw themselves from hosting Champions Trophy?
sit home? come on..no SA, aus, nz , eng.....are we playing another asia cup with windies as an exception?
i dont know about security...actually the reason i dont want the matches to be in pak are flat pitches..i am looking forward to the CT and therefore want some good cricket...with bowlers getting a lil help at least..i know you guys wont agree..saying same thing happens in india sl etc...but who cares?
wont we enjoy it more if its in sa or eng with every team sending their A teams? and good contest between bat and ball? i know i will...
anyways...PCB not even considering this...actually they are saying they dont care if teams send their B teams or dont send teams...so...

Re: Should Pak Voluntary withdraw themselves from hosting Champions Trophy?
I think PCB shud or wud withdraw from Champions trophy for the good will of cricket but at the same time PAKISTAN shud stand up and says we r not playing against NZ, AUS and ENGnot matters if its WORLD CUP FINAL . I will ask u 1 qt y AUS, NZ and ANG never say that they will not travel to Srilanka where the internal security situation is more worse then in PAkistan . Y didnt AUS pull out becoz of security issue after the balsts in londoon ashes 2004 ? Y they never pulled out of any indian tour after the blasts even i think it was england who continued their tour during the KARGIL war when the situation was more worse? y they never say no to southafrica where the street crime situation is so bad and so much is going on that i dont need to tell u any of that ?
Tell me when Indian , srilankan and southafricans had no problems coming and playing , y these morans always make excuse of security situation even before the afghanistan war ? I just dont understand where was those security situation during asia cup ?
so i think its the time for PCB saying for the good will of cricket we r withdrawing for this championstrophy but we are also cancelling our schedule future travels to AUS, ENG and NZ .

Pitch is another problem and regarding spectators, i definitely don't agree... last time in india-sri lanka match all saw was guys from that cement company came and that was because their owner was going to be in the presentation ceremony... thats what you call crowd than i guess yes you are right

Re: Should Pak Voluntary withdraw themselves from hosting Champions Trophy?
sarmad they call it kargil war because the war was going on in the place or point called kargil... plus there was no violence in other part of country... i was in India at that time... plus it was war between two countries and i doubt pervez musharraf had guts to attack on England team
