Pakistan Cricket Board Adopts WADA Code For Dope Testing
The Pakistan Cricket Board has adopted World Anti Doping Code (WADC) last month and all future dope tests will be conducted as per WADA's code, Dr. Ahsan Hameed Malik , Director Communications Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) told the Voice of America (VOA).
"The PCB has become WADA compliant and new Anti-Doping policy has been adopted and implemented,"claimed Malik.
Malik was quoted by the 'Dawn' as saying that the PCB's previous policy was in conflict with the WADA code.
It may be recalled that the Switzerland-based Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS), while ruling that the CAS had no jurisdiction in Shoiab Akhtar and Mohammad Asif doping case, had also said that, "It is the responsibility of the ICC to ensure that its members promulgate anti doping rules which are consistent with the WADC."
