The World's first best cricketer is a Batsman (Tendulkar)
The World's second best cricketer is a Bowler (Kapil Dev)
and since imran is neither a batsman nor bowler he is given the third place

You gotta be kidding me asarat, Kapil dev was also an allrounder, and regularly compete with likes of denis lille, Ian Bothom, Headingly etc.
If stats are the only criteria for being top batsman than tendulkar can have the spot. But he is a selfish player who always plays for his stats. For me Lara will always be the best batsman in da world, just like sir viv rihcards, javed miandad, Gavaskar & my 2nd favourite after miandad the gr8 Inzi. These guys were true cricketers who batted for thier teams and won many matches then Tendulkar ever did or will do for thier teams.
Now to Imran Khan, I personally never was a fan of him, I didn't like his management style. But unarguably he is the best and the greatest cricketer in da world (read Cricinfo article which comapred stats and then decided yeah he got the best but still won't gonna give him lolz).
Imran Khan was an excellent allrounder and to top of it off one of the best captain in the world. He took his team from brink to won the worldcup. When Tendulkar can do that come talk to me lolz.

In the eyes of Pakistani's he is a demi god ,but the rest of the world see's him just as a Good player ,who played the game of cricket.

My question is.. is he the third greatest because Wisden did not rate him as one.
