Technical requirements
Minimum antivirus installation requirements:
Processor: Pentium 150 Mhz. or faster.
RAM: Minimum 64 MB. / Recommended 128 MB. Though 64 MB. is required in order to install it, it is recommended to use 128 MB. (though it can be installed in 64 MB). Every software installed with only 64 MB. will experience a slowdown.
Hard disk: 110 MB. free space.
Operating system: Windows Vista 32 and 64 bits, XP 32 and 64 bits, Windows 2000 Pro.
Internet Explorer 5.5.
Panda Antivirus 2008 installation and set up
Follow these instructions to install the product:
Run the downloaded file.
Select the language in which you want to install the antivirus and click OK.
It is not advisable to have two antivirus products installed on the same computer. Therefore, if another antivirus product is already installed, a message will appear informing you that you must uninstall it before installing Panda Antivirus 2008 Beta. If there is a previous version of a Panda antivirus installed, it will be necessary to uninstall it before continuing with the installation of Panda Antivirus 2008 Beta.
The Panda Antivirus 2008 Beta welcome screen will be displayed next. Then, the program components will be shown. It is necessary to select Next to continue with the installation.
The license agreement is displayed. Select Yes to accept the terms and conditions. If you don’t accept the license agreement, the installation process will be aborted.
In the Type of installation screen you will be able to modify the destination folder. By default there is one selected. Click Next.
After clicking OK, a memory scan will automatically be performed.
Once the scan is completed, click on OK so that the necessary files are copied to the hard disk. Click on Finish to get out the installation Wizard.
To carry out the updates, and therefore keep an optimum security level against malicious software, you must configure them. To do this, follow the steps below:
Open Panda Antivirus 2008 Beta.
Once in Panda Antivirus 2008 Beta, click on the Update icon.
Then, select Updates settings. Make sure in the section Automatic updates that Enable automatic updates is checked (the antivirus has this option enabled by default).
In the Password section, type the user name and password assigned by Panda Software when you registered your product. Be careful when typing this information because it is case sensitive.

Click on Update Panda 2008, now! to perform the update immediately and check that the settings are correct.
Once the application is opened, an automatic update is carried out. That’s why if username/password are introduced, the following error message “username/password validation can not be carried out now” will appear. You should validate username/password after update has been carried out.
Tested by me with Bullguard internet security 7.0 no virus found fully safe
